The St Johns Avenue project involved the thoughtful extension and renovation of an end-of-terrace Victorian home, maximising internal space while preserving its original character and generous garden.

Designed by Stephen Wall Design & Architecture, a split-level rear extension created a spacious new kitchen, seamlessly connected to the existing dining and living areas, alongside a new downstairs W/C and separate utility room. The ground floor saw the installation of underfloor heating throughout, with a neutral coloured limestone tiled floor, leading out through a flush threshold into the garden space.

This was re-landscaped with a large porcelain-tiled terrace for outdoor dining and entertaining, while retaining ample lawn and planting space.

To complement the property’s Victorian heritage, all windows were replaced with bespoke handmade traditional sash windows, bringing them up to date with double glazed glass and handcrafted stone sills, combining period character with modern performance and quality.
