Legh Road - Knutsford

Designed by Stephen Wall Design & Architecture, this project involved the considered enhancement of a distinguished residential property on Legh Road, Knutsford, combining subtle architectural alterations with extensive landscaping to create a more refined and cohesive living environment.

A carefully designed rear extension allowed for the reconfiguration of the ground floor, creating a more generous, open-plan living and dining space with an improved sense of flow and connection between the principal rooms. Throughout the ground floor, a new underfloor heating system was installed, complemented by natural limestone flooring, introducing a timeless finish that combines understated elegance with modern comfort.

Externally, the property underwent a comprehensive landscaping transformation. An expansive Indian stone terrace was introduced across the rear and side elevations, creating an elegant setting for outdoor dining and entertaining. A thoughtfully designed pathway, framed by a timber pergola arch, provides a natural transition from the garden towards an impressive 300m² block-paved driveway, significantly enhancing both the approach and practicality of the property.

The surrounding gardens were carefully reinstated, with all lawn areas newly turfed to provide a beautifully finished landscape that complements the property's established character.
