Bentley Lodge
The Bentley Lodge project involved the sympathetic extension and full renovation of a period lodge house, set within picturesque countryside surroundings. The brief was to enhance the existing property while preserving its character, introducing high-quality modern features to suit contemporary living, designed by Stephen Wall Design & Architecture.
A substantial double-storey extension was constructed, carefully integrated with the original building. A standout feature of the design is the porcelain-tiled balcony, complete with a frameless glass balustrade, positioned above the kitchen and dining area. This incorporates a striking cantilever design, enabling a fully opening glass corner below, which creates a seamless connection between the internal living space and the expansive outdoor area.
Externally, the property was fully flagged using cathedral-grade York stone, complementing the traditional aesthetic of the lodge, while the driveway was finished with reclaimed granite blocks to further enhance its character and durability. A detached double garage was also constructed to provide additional practical space.
Internally, the existing house was completely remodelled and renovated to a high standard. This included the installation of a modern, bespoke kitchen, alongside a refined combination of limestone flooring and engineered oak, delivering a balance of timeless materials and contemporary design.
The Bentley Lodge project highlights our expertise in blending traditional architecture with modern construction techniques, resulting in a distinctive home that respects its heritage while offering exceptional quality and functionality.
